Thank You or Confirmation Letter
A "thank you page" is a small courtesy you extend to
your viewers. You can thank them for visiting, for
taking the time to fill out a form, etc.
(You
can set this letter up with field merge files that personalize
the letter for your customer - see the example below)
One important thing you will want to do is to remove
the thankyou.htm page from the navigation bars. This
page will only be seen by certain viewers, i.e. those who
submit one of your forms so it is not necessary to have
it linked to the rest of your pages.

IMPORTANT
TIP:
|
To remove this page (and any others) from
the navigation structure...
Click on the navigation button in the left
column. Find the thank you page and right-click
on it. You will then choose "delete" from
the menu that appears. You will then be
asked whether you want to remove the page from
the navigation structure or delete the page
from the web.
(Warning: If
you delete the page from the web, it will be
gone. There is no "are you sure you want
to delete this page" message!)
Once your page is removed
from the navigation view, you will need to add
text links to your main pages. Since the
page is no longer connected to the main site
by the navigation buttons, you will need to
type in text links by hand. It is generally
recommended that you add text links to your
major areas: home page, catalog section,
site map, etc. Once your visitor gets
back to one of these pages, they can easily
find their way using your normal button links.
